Standing Crane Bird Bronze Fountain Statue Set

In the shallows at the edge of the garden pool, two cranes stand tall in their verdigris coats, one with its neck held straight and proud, the other turned with a freshly caught fish in its beak. From each beak a fine arc of water rises and falls back into the pond with a soft, musical patter. Their long legs and feathered bodies are cool and smooth under your hand, beaded with spray on a warm afternoon. At dusk the air smells of water and green reeds, and the pair seem almost to breathe.

The cranes were modelled in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, each fitted with a water inlet at its base, and finished in a weathered verdigris patina; a version with polished brass beaks and legs is also offered. They look best standing together in a pond, a garden pool or a courtyard water feature.
