Regency Park Settee

Early on a June morning, before the dew has burned off the lawn, a settee at the end of a gravel walk is the quietest invitation in the garden. This one, from the Regency collection by O’Brien Ironworks, is drawn with the restraint of that era: upright, finely proportioned, its iron lines reading crisp against a backdrop of clipped yew or boxwood. Just under four feet across, it seats two comfortably and settles easily into a rose arbour, beneath a pergola heavy with wisteria, or on a shaded porch where jasmine climbs the posts. In faux verdigris it takes on the soft green of old copper; in black it simply recedes into the planting.
