Neptune Ottoman

Art Deco designers loved a circle, and this little round ottoman keeps faith with them. Twenty inches across and seventeen high, it is a compact drum of metalwork that tucks beside a club chair on the loggia or slips under the edge of a table when the evening crowd thins. Choose the finish to suit the scene: crisp white against clipped boxwood, faux verdigris to sit quietly among ferns and maidenhair, or Chinese red where the bougainvillea already sets the tone. On a warm night it is the obvious place to rest bare feet, with jasmine drifting in from the trellis.
