Mandarin Garden Bench

A long bench at the end of a path is an invitation: come and sit, and look back at what you have walked through. The Mandarin Garden Bench answers it generously, six feet wide with a seat sixty-four inches long, enough for three to settle shoulder to shoulder. It belongs to O'Brien Ironworks' Dynasty collection, its name a nod to the garden pavilions of the East. Place it beneath a weeping cherry or against a wall of clipped podocarpus, where the light filters through and bees work the lavender at your feet. A deep French blue or Chinese red makes it a focal point; dark grey lets the planting speak.
