Male Golf Caddie holding Lantern Bronze Statue

A young caddie stands at the edge of the lawn, lantern raised as if dusk were gathering over the eighteenth green. You can almost hear the soft swish of a sprinkler and smell the dew rising from freshly mown grass. His period jacket and cap are crisp under the fingertips, the metal cool in the evening air. Set him by a terrace door and he seems to be waiting to light someone home.

He is cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, which keeps every button, crease and the detail of the lantern sharp, and finished in a warm patina that mellows outdoors. He looks best at a clubhouse entrance, a study doorway or beside a garden path where the light falls low in the evening.
