Little Boy Fishing Bronze Sculpture

At the edge of a garden pond, a little boy sits with his fishing rod held out over the water, patient and content. Dragonflies skim the surface, the reeds rustle, and the air carries the green, earthy smell of the water's edge on a summer afternoon. His period clothes and expressive face are shaped with such care that you half expect him to call out when the line twitches. The bronze is warm from the sun and solid beneath the hand.

Cast in solid bronze by the lost-wax method, the boy is finished with a hand-applied patina that develops a rich character over time, and he is suited to indoor or outdoor placement. He looks most at home beside a pond, stream or lake, or on a sheltered garden terrace.
