Hepplewhite Armchair

The Hepplewhite name recalls the elegant, light-boned chairs of eighteenth-century English cabinetmaking, and this armchair carries that lineage out of the dining room and into the garden. Part of O'Brien Ironworks' Gothic Revival collection, it is drawn in metal rather than mahogany, with arms that invite you to linger over a second cup of coffee. Pull a pair up to a table under a pergola wreathed in wisteria, or set one alone at the head of the table on a brick terrace, where the scent of star jasmine drifts in on warm evenings and the metal holds a little of the afternoon's sun.
