Greek Key Athena Dining Table Base

A round table changes the mood of a meal: no head, no foot, just faces turned toward one another while the light softens over the garden. Named for Athena and a full 60 inches across, this base has the poise of a small temple, its Greek key meander lending a quiet classical order. Set it beneath a pergola where wisteria drips in spring, or on a screened porch fringed with kentia palms, and finish it with clear glass or a cool sheet of stone for long, convivial lunches.
