Grasping Hands Bronze Statue - Modern Tabletop Sculpture

A pair of hands reaches upward from a black marble base, fingers taut, in a gesture that might be hope or yearning. On a console or desk it draws the eye upward and holds it in quiet contemplation. In a calm room, with the scent of a candle or fresh coffee in the air, it becomes a point of stillness. The creases of the palms and the tension in the fingers feel remarkably lifelike under the fingertips.

It was sculpted in clay, cast in bronze by the lost-wax method and finished in a rich brown and verdigris patina, then set atop a polished black marble base. It is intended for indoor display and is at its best on a desk, pedestal or console table.
