Furnas Accent Table Lamp

A table set for supper outdoors needs very little: a jug of garden roses, a linen cloth, and one small light to gather the faces around it. This slender lamp stands fifteen inches tall on a footprint of just four inches square, a narrow column topped by a tapering cylindrical shade and grounded on a square base. Its iron body is hand-painted a deep brown that reads almost as old bronze in the dusk, with the subtle variation only a brush can leave. Set it among pots of basil and thyme on a potting bench, or on a side table beside the hammock.
