French Wire Settee

There is something irresistibly romantic about a wire settee glimpsed at the far end of a garden, half hidden by roses. This one has all the airy charm of nineteenth-century French garden furniture: a seat forty inches wide, enough for two to share a pot of tea or a newspaper, set within a frame you can see straight through. Place it beneath an arch of climbing roses or against a hedge of clipped yew, where the wirework reads like lace. Bees work the lavender at your feet, and the dappled light falls through the back onto the path behind.
