The French Ladderback Bench stretches a full six feet, its tall back formed of horizontal rails in the manner of a French farmhouse chair. O'Brien Ironworks forges it to order. Set it along one side of a long kitchen table, in a sunroom lined with potted figs and clivia, or in a wide entrance hall where muddy boots come off. It is as much at home with rough-hewn oak as with pale painted floors.
