Daydreaming Frog on Rock Bronze Statue

At the edge of a still pond, half hidden among ferns, a frog sits on a rock with its chin propped in its hands, gazing off into the middle distance as if lost in a pleasant thought. Dragonflies skim the water, a breeze stirs the reeds with a soft hush, and the air smells green and cool, of moss and damp earth. In the dappled shade it feels like a small invitation to stop and daydream too. Brush a hand over its back and the bronze is cool and smooth, the delicate webbing of its fingers finely detailed.

The frog was modeled in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, finished in a rich patina that develops character as it weathers. At 30 pounds it sits steadily outdoors in a garden bed, beside a pond or water feature, or tucked into a patio corner, and it is equally at home indoors.
