Contemporary Face Vase Table-top Bronze Statue Set

On a long dining table, two slender faces rise from the linen, eyes closed and features drawn in calm, simple lines. Slip a few stems of dried grasses or a sprig of eucalyptus into each, and the room fills with a clean, resinous scent as the stems whisper softly when someone brushes past. Candlelight moves across the bronze and settles in the hollows of cheek and brow, so the faces seem to shift with the evening. Lift one and it is cool and surprisingly weighty, its smooth contours pleasant beneath the fingers.

Each vase was modeled in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, finished with a rich patina that brings out the sculptural lines and gains warmth with age. With a compact footprint and 10 pounds of weight per piece, they suit a console, mantel, bookshelf or desk, indoors or on a covered terrace.
