Contemporary Cat Duo Table-top Bronze Statue

On a bedside table in the soft grey light before dawn, two cats lean into one another, curled close in the easy way of old companions. The house is so quiet you can almost hear a contented purr, and the air carries the faint lavender of fresh pillowcases. Their sleek forms and clean lines catch the first pale glow from the window, warm against the cool of the room. Pick the pair up and the bronze sits heavy and smooth in your palms, the gentle texture of fur just there under your fingertips.

The duo is cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, which holds every relaxed contour and subtle texture of the fur. A hand-applied patina deepens in warmth over the years, and at 8 pounds the piece sits steadily on a library shelf, console table, mantel or nightstand.
