This square base, twenty-three inches each way and a comfortable twenty-nine high, supplies the last of these with considerable style. Its Chinese Chippendale fretwork has a lacy, architectural quality that looks well against the glossy leaves of a potted Meyer lemon or a wall of climbing roses. Top it with glass to keep the lattice in view, or with a slab of stone that stays cool beneath the cups.
