Chinese Chippendale Side Chair
Chinese Chippendale Side Chair
(free shipping)
Around a long table set out under the trees, armless chairs are the practical choice: they tuck in close, leave elbows free and let more people squeeze in when friends arrive unannounced. The Chinese Chippendale Side Chair does all of that with style, its latticework back throwing a fine geometric shadow onto the flagstones in late-afternoon sun. Mix it with the matching armchairs at the heads of the table, or stand a pair along a wall beneath a window box of trailing ivy and geraniums. Sage and faux verdigris settle it gently among greenery; Chinese red or royal blue make it the brightest note on the terrace.
