A demilune is a half-moon of a table, made to sit flat against a wall and take up almost no floor at all. This one, thirty inches across and fifteen deep, is worked in Chinese Chippendale fretwork and intended for indoor rooms, where it suits an entrance hall, a garden room or the landing of a sunlit stair. Hang a mirror above it, set a bowl of camellias or a single cut stem of hydrangea on its top, and let the lattice cast its delicate pattern across the wall when the morning light comes through.
