Chinese Chippendale Chaise Lounge
Chinese Chippendale Chaise Lounge

Some garden furniture is for conversation; a chaise is for surrender. This one stretches a full seventy-five inches, long enough to lie back with a book and let the afternoon go soft around the edges. Chinese Chippendale lattice gives it its character, a net of interlocking lines that throws patterned shadow across the pool deck as the sun moves round. Lay a thick cushion along the seat, set a drink on the coping, and listen to palm fronds rattle overhead. A pair flanking a pool, finished in white or pale grey, has the easy grace of an old Palm Beach terrace.
