Chinese Chippendale Bench

Lattice is a pattern made for gardens: it is how trellis is built, and how climbing plants like to be shown off. This six-foot Chinese Chippendale Bench takes that geometry and gives it a seat, so that set against a wall it reads almost as architecture, a panel of trellis you can sit on. Place it at the end of a pool flanked by a pair of potted kentia palms, or along a loggia where star jasmine scents the evening air. It seats three with ease. In white it has the classic crispness of a Charleston garden; in dark grey it takes on a more modern, tailored edge.
