Chinese Chippendale Barstool with Arms
Chinese Chippendale Barstool with Arms
(free shipping)
A kitchen island becomes the heart of the house the moment there is somewhere good to sit. This barstool with arms brings the lattice geometry of Chinese Chippendale design up to bar height, with a twenty-eight-inch seat and arms to lean on while the conversation drifts. Its open fretwork keeps a run of stools from feeling heavy, so the light from the garden windows passes straight through. Line several along a bar in a garden room or pool house, beneath pendant lights, with pots of rosemary, thyme and basil on the sill beyond. Black or dark grey gives it a smart, graphic edge; Chinese red leans into its chinoiserie roots.
