Chantilly Garden Stool - Navy

When the sun is low, light passes right through this stool and scatters small petal-shaped patches across the paving, as if flowers had been pressed into the stone. The drum is pierced all over with quatrefoil cut-outs, a motif that recalls old garden fretwork and Moorish screens, and glazed in a deep, glossy navy. Set it among white hydrangeas, where the dark blue looks rich and cool, or beside a white-cushioned chair on the porch as a perch for a candle or a book.
