Cape Town Accent Chair

From across the lawn you might take this chair for weathered teak, so warm is the golden wheat tone of its frame. Look closer and it is aluminium, hand-painted to that honeyed colour, with sides made of slim vertical slats that throw a striped shadow onto the deck as the sun moves round. Deep white cushions fill the seat and back. Set a pair under a sabal palm by the pool, or on a covered porch where the floorboards are warm underfoot and a pot of Boston fern sits nearby.
