Campo Wall Sconce III - White

White against white is one of the quiet pleasures of a coastal garden: a pale lamp on a pale clapboard wall, a moonflower unfurling on the trellis beside it as the light fades. This version of the saucer sconce has a broad, flat white metal shade carried on a straight arm with a jointed elbow, its silhouette pared back to something almost nautical. By day it all but disappears into a painted façade; after dark it becomes a soft beacon by the side door. Hang it on a screened porch above a bench of potted ferns, or beside a garden gate draped in a climbing white rose.
