Bunny Rabbit Table-top Bronze Statue

On a sunny bookshelf in a cottage sitting room, a bronze bunny sits perfectly still, ears up and alert, as if it has just heard someone open the garden gate. The light picks out the soft texture of its fur and the gentle, watchful expression on its face. Stroke its back and the bronze feels cool and finely ridged, almost like the real thing. With a jug of sweet peas nearby and the smell of fresh bread drifting in from the kitchen, it brings a little of the spring garden indoors.

The rabbit is cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, and its hand-applied patina, in brown or verdigris, develops rich character over time. It suits indoors or out, on a desk, shelf or mantel, or tucked among the plants in a garden bed.
