Brick Lane Garden Stool - Blue

Turn this stool slowly in the sun and the glaze shifts: deep blue gives way to bronze, then a flash of gold, as the colour pools and thins across an embossed geometric pattern. The relief is crisp enough to read in raking light, so the surface changes from morning to dusk. A tall cylinder, it works as a side table between two chairs on a loggia or as a plinth for a potted bromeliad. Its iridescence suits the jewel tones of a tropical border, with crotons, purple tradescantia and the glossy rosettes of a bird's nest fern.
