Boy & Girl Lounging on Bench Bronze Statue

Beneath an old apple tree at the bottom of the garden, a girl sits at the end of a bench, holding a treasured photograph close to her heart. Beside her, a boy has stretched out with his head resting in her lap, perfectly at ease in the dappled shade. Their brown and verdigris patina looks as though it has weathered many summers, cool and smooth where you might lay a hand on the bench. On a warm afternoon, with blossom drifting down and the sweet smell of fruit in the air, the scene feels like a memory you have walked straight into.

The sculpture is cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, which captures the children's delicate features and the design of the bench. Its brown and verdigris patina gives it a time-honored look that only grows richer, and it sits beautifully indoors or out, in a quiet garden corner, a sunroom or beside a path.
