Boy Face Bronze Planter Urn

At the top of the garden steps, a tall bronze urn spills over with trailing ivy and summer geraniums, and from its side a cherubic boy's face looks out with an innocent, half-smiling expression. In the soft morning light the patina glows with a gentle depth, and the relief catches shadows that move as the sun climbs. Brush the curve of the urn and the bronze is cool and dewy, the air around it sharp with the green smell of fresh-watered soil. Bees drift in and out of the flowers, and the whole entrance feels softer for it.

The urn is cast in bronze by the traditional lost-wax method, with classical proportions, a generous planting capacity and drainage for real use. Its hand-applied patina weathers gracefully outdoors, and it looks its best flanking an entry, anchoring a formal parterre or marking the turn of a courtyard path.
