Bluebird on Branch Table-top Bronze Statue

On a windowsill shelf on the first mild morning of spring, a bluebird settles on a twist of branch as if it has just flown in from the garden. The patina picks out the colors of its feathers, and the early light makes its bright eye seem to follow you across the room. Touch the branch and you feel the knots and grain of the bark, then the fine, layered texture of each feather, cool and smooth. With the window open a crack, the air smells of damp soil and new leaves, and you half expect it to start singing.

The bird is cast in solid bronze by the lost-wax method and set on a marble base, with a hand-applied patina that brings out its feather detail. It is made for indoor display, on a desk, a shelf, a mantel or any spot where it can be admired up close.
