Bizen Garden Stool - Brown

Taupe is the colour of dry sand at the tideline, of mushroom gills and weathered cedar shingles, and it settles quietly into almost any planting. Here it glazes a column of rounded tiers stacked above a sandy, textured base ring, so the eye moves from rough to smooth as it climbs, and a hand running up the side feels the same change. Place it among ornamental grasses and bronze sedges on a gravel terrace, or beside a potted olive, and use the top for a trowel, a glass of wine or a bowl of figs at harvest time.
