Auburndale Garden Stool - White

A neat diamond lattice is pierced through the walls of this white barrel stool, as regular as the mesh of a garden trellis or the panes of an old leaded window. Bands of raised studs trim the top and bottom, a traditional detail that frames the pattern like a border on a quilt. The glaze is glossy and fresh, the white of a starched linen napkin. It looks especially handsome against dark green foliage, a clipped yew, a glossy magnolia, a potted podocarpus, or on a black-and-white tiled porch with a pot of white geraniums alongside.
