Angel Trio Bronze Table Base

In the hush of a candlelit dining room, three angels stand shoulder to shoulder beneath the tabletop, their wings folded and their faces turned serenely outward. Light from the candles slides down their drapery and pools in the folds, so the bronze seems to breathe as the flames move. Brush past and your hand meets cool, finely modelled feathers, while the room carries the scent of supper and fresh flowers set above them. Conversation softens a little around them, as if no one quite wants to disturb their watch.

The base is cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, which holds the detail of each face, wing and fall of drapery, and it is made to carry a glass or stone top. Its 105 pounds give steady support, and it is at its best indoors, in an entry hall, a formal dining room or a library.
