Acrobatic Boys Bronze Statue

At the far edge of the lawn, where the hedges open onto the summer border, two boys hold a moment of acrobatic play forever, balanced on one another with fearless ease. In the morning their multi-toned patina is soft and shadowed; by late afternoon the low sun picks out every limb and grin in warm highlights. Rest a hand on the bronze and it carries the day's warmth, smooth where the light falls, while bees hum in the lavender and the air smells of cut grass. You can almost hear their laughter carried across the garden on the breeze.

The piece was sculpted in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, which keeps the balance of the poses, the youthful expressions and the natural movement of each figure. Solid bronze stands up to the weather and only grows richer with time, so it is at home on a family lawn, in an estate garden or at the heart of a courtyard.
