Yorkshire Side Chair
Yorkshire Side Chair
(free shipping)
A table in the garden looks best when the chairs around it share a family likeness, and the Yorkshire side chair is the steady, armless member of the English Conservatory family. Its upright back and straightforward lines recall the ironwork of Victorian orangeries, where citrus trees wintered in tubs and the air smelt faintly of blossom and warm brick. Line several down either side of a long table beneath a pergola, with a Yorkshire armchair at each end, and the whole scene feels quietly composed.
