Two Horses Bronze Table-top Statue

On a library shelf beside a stack of well-thumbed books, two horses lean toward one another, manes flowing, caught in a moment of easy companionship. It has the calm of a paddock at first light, when the only sounds are a soft snort and the creak of a gate. The bronze is smooth and cool along their necks, giving way to the glassy polish of the black marble base. The room seems to take on a faint, pleasant memory of hay and leather.

The pair was modelled in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, with a patina that grows richer over time, and mounted on polished black marble. Compact and light, it sits well on a desk, mantel, side table or bookshelf in a study or living room.
