Rain Pouf - Beige, Blue & Gray

Periwinkle sits halfway between blue and lavender, the colour of plumbago in full summer flower. On this square pouf it forms an interlocking chain lattice over a cream ground, with soft grey notes that keep it from feeling sugary. The repeat is orderly and calm, like a well-kept knot garden seen from an upstairs window. Set it on a screened porch beside a skirted table and a plumbago trained as a standard, or by the pool among blue-green saw palmettos, whose fans rustle in the slightest breeze.
