Porta Ottoman

Feet up, the day done, a cold glass in hand and the scent of four o'clocks opening at dusk: an ottoman is where the garden evening really begins. This one is wide and low, a frame of hand-painted brown aluminium finished at each end with hand-woven wicker, topped with a thick oatmeal cushion. Use it in front of a Porta chair or sofa, or on its own as extra seating when friends arrive. It makes a comfortable perch at the edge of a patio, too, beside pots of fragrant plumeria.
