Marvella Bar Stool

Evening light does something lovely to woven things: it slips through the gaps and comes out the other side in small, warm flecks. This bar stool is made for that hour, with a rounded barrel back of honey-toned wicker woven by hand and finished in a band of open, scalloped loops, like the edging of an old picnic basket. A plump cream cushion makes a proper seat of it, and a footrest gives your heels somewhere to settle. Line a few along a pool-house bar, beside potted limes and a bowl of fresh-cut mint.
