Jewels Garden Stool - Mustard

This stool has the warmth of an old honey crock found at the back of a farmhouse pantry. A mustard glaze, deepening to amber where it pools, covers a form with a rounded, knobbed top and a slightly pitted surface that feels like stoneware under the hand. The colour comes alive late in the day, when low sun turns everything gold. Pair it with the yellows and russets of a late-summer border, rudbeckias, heleniums and the seed heads of grasses, or bring it onto a covered porch beside a Meyer lemon in a terracotta pot.
