Hourglass Garden Stool - Dark Brown

Two glazes meet at the narrow waist of this hourglass stool, and the effect is something like dusk falling over water. The upper half is a glossy brown so deep it leans toward plum; below, a mottled teal pools and breaks into spots and streaks, never quite the same from one side to the other. The pinched silhouette gives it a poised, gently old-fashioned air. Place it among dark-leaved plants, black elephant ears or purple heuchera, where its colours deepen in the shade, or beside a teak bench as a resting place for a cup and a garden notebook.
