Hourglass Garden Stool - Cream

Look closely at this cream glaze and you will find it flecked with olive and sage, like a speckled hen's egg or a dusting of lichen on limestone. The surface is gently uneven under the fingertips, which gives the hourglass form an earthy, handmade feel as it narrows and swells again in one easy curve. It is a natural companion for a cottage-style planting of lavender, catmint and silvery santolina, or for the corner by the potting bench where clay pots, twine and a watering can gather. On a porch, it makes an unfussy table beside a rocking chair.
