Giraffe & Calf Table-top Bronze Statue

A tall giraffe stands protectively beside her calf, their long necks and gentle eyes turned toward the same horizon. On a desk or bookshelf the pair brings a little of the savanna's calm into the room. It calls to mind warm, dry air and the dusty sweetness of acacia at dusk. The spotted bronze is smooth under the fingertips, set off by the cool polish of a marble base.

The figures were cast in bronze by the lost-wax method and mounted on a polished marble base. Intended for indoor display, the piece is at its best on a desk, mantel, shelf or in a display cabinet.
