Frog Reading Book Bronze Fountain Statue

Settled in repose with an open book, this bronze frog is so absorbed in the story that the water flowing around him goes unnoticed. Set at the edge of a pond or in a courtyard, the piece pairs a gentle, continuous trickle with a scene that makes visitors smile. The sound of water cools the air, which carries the scent of wet stone and leaves. The textured skin and the fine edges of the pages are crisp beneath the fingertips.

It is cast in solid bronze by the lost-wax method, with a hand-applied aged patina that develops further as it weathers outdoors. It is suitable for indoor or outdoor placement and is at its best beside a pond, in a courtyard water garden or near a reading bench.
