French Polished Steel Oblong Table Base
French Polished Steel Oblong Table Base
(free shipping)
Polished steel has a quiet, liquid quality: it borrows the colours around it, so in a conservatory it glints green with foliage and, after dark, gold with candlelight. This oblong base from the French Royal collection is long and slim at 66 by 26 inches, suited to a narrow dining alcove, a breakfast room overlooking the garden, or an old potting shed reborn as a garden room. Crown it with a slab of honed marble or a sheet of glass, and line the windowsill beside it with scented pelargoniums and clivia. It is designed for indoor rooms, where its bright finish can be enjoyed close at hand.
