Entwined Pouf - Beige III

Late-afternoon light on stucco takes on a warm, peachy cast, and this beige leans the same way, toward apricot and the blush of a ripening mango. The pouf is a low, round coil of braided yarn, hand-woven and bound at the edge with blanket stitch, with the slightly irregular rhythm that handwork leaves behind. Set it in a courtyard with terracotta pots of geraniums and a kumquat in a tub, or on a porch beside a coral-flowered hibiscus, where it picks up the warmth of the blooms and glows as the sun goes down.
