Eagle Duo Bronze Table Base

Set beneath a sheet of glass in a library or garden room, two bronze eagles hold the tabletop between them, wings and talons caught in a steady, watchful stance. Morning light slides across the feathers and pools in the hollows of the casting. Run a hand along the metal and it is cool and finely ridged, the texture of plumage rendered in bronze. The air around it carries the faint, clean scent of old books or cut grass, depending on where you set it down.

The base was sculpted in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, which keeps the detail of feather, talon and expression crisp. It is suited to indoor or outdoor placement and looks most at home in an entry hall, study or covered terrace; the glass top is not included.
