Directoire Statement Torchiere

Think of a Parisian courtyard, a pair of tall stands flanking the doorway, each holding an urn of trailing ivy above the cobbles. The Directoire Statement Torchiere has that measured neo-classical poise, 52 inches tall on a 14-inch square footprint, with the clean verticals and restraint the Directoire style is known for. It lifts a planter, a lantern or a bowl of cut hydrangeas up to where the light can find it. O'Brien Ironworks forges it to order in iron or galvanized iron. Stand a pair at the foot of a garden stair, or at the mouth of a loggia where jasmine scents the evening air.
