Directoire Dining Table Base
Directoire Dining Table Base
(free shipping)
The Directoire style arrived in France at the close of the eighteenth century, bringing a cooler, more disciplined elegance after the flourishes that came before. This dining base from O'Brien Ironworks' Neo-Classic collection carries that restraint into the garden. At 64 by 34 inches, it supports a top for a comfortable dinner party under a loggia or a pergola wound with star jasmine. Picture clipped boxwood in square planters, a pair of standard bay trees, a long linen runner and candlelight catching the metal. Ordered in aluminium, it is well suited to wet or coastal gardens.
