Contemporary Two Tier Bronze Fountain

At the center of a gravel courtyard, water spills from the upper bowl of a tall, clean-lined fountain into the wide basin below, a steady, silvery murmur that softens every other sound. Sparrows dip in at the rim, and on a hot afternoon the air around it feels cooler and tastes faintly of wet stone. The tiers rise in simple, elegant proportions, their surfaces shimmering where the water runs. Trail your fingers in the basin and the bronze edge is cool and smooth, the water brisk against the skin.

The fountain was modeled in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, with a multi-layered patina in light or dark brown whose subtle color variations deepen with weather. At 145 pounds it is a substantial, weather-resistant centerpiece for a modern garden, courtyard or patio.
