ColorSplash Downward Bull Bronze Statue

On a study desk by the window, a bull lowers its head, shoulders bunched and hooves planted, as if it has just caught sight of something across the room. Streaks of bright color flare over the dark bronze, catching the morning light like sun on wet stone. Outside, a mower hums somewhere down the lane and the scent of cut grass drifts in on the breeze. Lay a palm on its back and the muscle beneath the metal feels taut and alive, cool at first and slowly warming to the touch.

The bull was modeled in clay and cast in bronze by the lost-wax method, with a multi-layered patina enlivened by vivid color accents. At 12 pounds it is a compact, steady presence for a desk, bookshelf or console in an office or living room.
